Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders placed with Al Haq Law Book Centre are confirmed, processed, dispatched and delivered within Pakistan.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on product availability, customer confirmation, payment verification, destination and courier operations.

1. Order confirmation

Submitting an order through our website does not mean that the parcel has automatically been dispatched.

Before dispatch, we may contact the customer by telephone or WhatsApp to confirm:

  • Product title
  • Edition
  • Quantity
  • Availability
  • Price
  • Delivery address
  • Delivery charges
  • Advance-payment requirement
  • Cash on Delivery amount

Customers should carefully review the confirmed order details before approving dispatch.

An order may remain on hold where:

  • The customer does not respond to confirmation attempts.
  • The delivery address is incomplete.
  • The requested book or edition is unavailable.
  • Required advance delivery charges have not been paid.
  • Payment verification is pending.

2. Order-processing time

Confirmed orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days after:

  1. Product availability has been confirmed.
  2. Customer details have been verified.
  3. Any required advance delivery charges have been received.

Business days do not normally include Sundays, public holidays or announced courier holidays.

Orders placed outside normal business hours may begin processing on the next business day.

Order-processing time is separate from courier delivery time.

3. Estimated delivery times

Estimated delivery times begin after the parcel has been dispatched.

Lahore

Estimated delivery:

1–2 business days

Major cities

This may include Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and other major serviced cities.

Estimated delivery:

2–4 business days

Remote or less-accessible areas

Estimated delivery:

5–7 business days

Some remote destinations may take longer depending on courier coverage, route schedules and local conditions.

These estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

4. Shipping charges

Delivery charges may depend on:

  • Parcel weight
  • Number and size of books
  • Delivery destination
  • Courier service
  • Cash on Delivery amount
  • Remote-area surcharge
  • Special or urgent delivery request

Applicable delivery charges will be communicated or displayed before dispatch.

Where the final parcel weight or delivery location differs from the original information, the delivery charge may be adjusted before the customer confirms the order.

5. Advance delivery charges

Unless another arrangement has been approved, delivery charges must be paid in advance before the parcel is dispatched.

Advance delivery charges help cover courier costs where a parcel is refused, remains unclaimed or is returned to us.

The remaining price of the books may be payable through Cash on Delivery where that service is available.

Customers may also choose full advance payment through an approved method where agreed.

6. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery may be available for eligible orders and locations.

The customer must:

  • Provide a correct delivery address.
  • Provide an active telephone number.
  • Respond to courier calls.
  • Ensure that someone is available to receive the parcel.
  • Pay the confirmed Cash on Delivery amount at delivery.

The courier rider may not carry change. Customers should keep the appropriate payment amount available where possible.

Cash on Delivery availability may vary by destination and courier service.

7. Same-day or urgent delivery within Lahore

Same-day or urgent delivery within Lahore may be offered by prior arrangement, subject to:

  • Product availability
  • Shop operating hours
  • Customer location
  • Rider availability
  • Advance payment
  • Confirmation of the actual delivery fare

Such orders may be sent through an approved local delivery service, including an available ride or courier service.

For local urgent delivery:

  • The actual rider or delivery fare may be charged to the customer.
  • Full payment for the books may be required in advance.
  • Delivery timing is not guaranteed until a rider has accepted the request.

This service is separate from standard courier delivery.

8. Courier partners

We normally dispatch parcels through M&P or another suitable authorised courier or delivery partner.

We may use an alternative courier where:

  • M&P service is unavailable for the destination.
  • Another courier provides better coverage.
  • The parcel requires a different service.
  • Operational circumstances make an alternative necessary.

The customer will be informed where a material change to the delivery arrangement is required.

9. Shipment confirmation and tracking

After dispatch, we normally provide tracking information through WhatsApp, email or another available communication channel.

Tracking details may include:

  • Courier name
  • Tracking or consignment number
  • Dispatch date
  • Cash on Delivery amount

Tracking information may take some time to become active after the parcel has been handed to the courier.

Customers can use the provided tracking number to check shipment progress through the relevant courier.

10. Customer address responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including where applicable:

  • Recipient name
  • House, office or shop number
  • Street or road
  • Area
  • City
  • District
  • Postal code
  • Nearby landmark
  • Active telephone number

Al Haq Law Book Centre is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Incomplete addresses
  • Incorrect addresses
  • Incorrect telephone numbers
  • Customer relocation after dispatch
  • Customer failure to respond to the courier
  • Restricted or inaccessible delivery locations

Where an address correction is requested after dispatch, additional courier charges may apply.

11. Delivery attempts and customer availability

Courier partners may attempt delivery according to their own operational procedures.

If the customer is unavailable, the courier may:

  • Attempt delivery again.
  • Contact the customer.
  • Hold the parcel at a local courier office.
  • Return the parcel to Al Haq Law Book Centre.

Customers should respond promptly to courier calls and tracking updates.

A parcel returned because the customer:

  • Refused delivery
  • Provided an incorrect address
  • Did not answer courier calls
  • Failed to collect the parcel
  • Was unavailable after reasonable attempts

may result in:

  • Loss of advance delivery charges
  • Additional re-delivery charges
  • A requirement for full advance payment on a future dispatch

12. Failed or refused deliveries

Where a customer refuses a correctly supplied parcel without prior approval, the delivery and return-shipping costs may remain the customer’s responsibility.

Advance delivery charges may be non-refundable where courier costs have already been incurred.

A returned parcel will not automatically be dispatched again. Re-delivery may require:

  • Payment of previous courier charges
  • Payment of new delivery charges
  • Full advance payment
  • Confirmation of a corrected address

Where Al Haq Law Book Centre exceptionally dispatches an order without receiving the required advance delivery charges, and the customer subsequently refuses, fails to collect, or does not receive the parcel, any re-dispatch or future Cash on Delivery service may require payment in advance of the previous outward courier charges, return charges and new delivery charges. We may also require full advance payment for future orders.

13. Parcel-opening policy

Courier riders normally do not allow parcels to be opened before payment and acceptance.

Customers should:

  1. Check the external packaging for obvious damage.
  2. Complete the courier’s required payment and acceptance process.
  3. Record a continuous unboxing video before opening the original sealed packaging.
  4. Clearly show the shipping label, sealed parcel, contents and condition of the books.

The customer should not cut, pause or combine separate video clips during the unboxing.

14. Damaged, missing or incorrect items

A continuous unboxing video is required to verify claims involving:

  • Transit damage
  • Missing books
  • Incorrect books
  • Incorrect editions
  • Visible printing defects
  • Binding defects visible on opening

The customer should contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Order number
  • Product details
  • Clear unboxing video
  • Photographs where useful
  • Description of the issue

Customers should retain the original parcel packaging and affected products until the claim has been reviewed.

Claims, replacements, returns and refunds are handled according to our published Refund and Return Policy.

15. Courier delays

Delivery may be delayed by circumstances including:

  • Public holidays
  • Courier holidays
  • Weather
  • Strikes
  • Road closures
  • Security conditions
  • Remote-area scheduling
  • High seasonal parcel volumes
  • Incorrect customer information
  • Operational disruptions
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

We will assist customers with available tracking information, but we cannot guarantee a courier’s exact delivery time.

A courier delay does not automatically mean that a parcel is lost.

Where a parcel appears significantly delayed, customers should contact us so that we can raise an inquiry with the courier.

16. Lost parcels

Where a parcel is confirmed lost by the courier, we will review the order and may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Replacement
  • Re-dispatch
  • Refund of the applicable paid amount

The available remedy will depend on product availability, payment status and the courier investigation.

17. Product availability and edition confirmation

Product availability may change before dispatch.

Where a requested book or edition is unavailable, we may contact the customer to:

  • Offer a different edition
  • Offer an alternative book
  • Wait for restocking
  • Remove the unavailable item
  • Cancel the affected order

We will not intentionally send a materially different title or edition without customer confirmation.

18. International delivery

Our standard delivery service is intended for addresses within Pakistan.

International delivery is not guaranteed and may only be considered through a separately confirmed arrangement.

International customers should contact us before placing or paying for an order.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy where necessary to reflect changes in:

  • Courier services
  • Shipping charges
  • Delivery coverage
  • Payment arrangements
  • Business operations
  • Applicable requirements

The updated policy will be published on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.
