Request Account Deletion

At Al Haq Law Book Centre, we respect your privacy and your right to request the deletion of your customer account and associated personal data.

Customers who have created an account through our website or Android application can request account deletion using the process described below.

How to Request Account Deletion

  1. Visit our Contact Us page.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your Al Haq Law Book Centre customer account.

  3. Under Enquiry Type, select Account Deletion Request.

  4. In the message field, state that you would like to request the deletion of your customer account and associated personal data.

  5. Click Send Enquiry to submit your request.

You do not need to have the Android application installed or be signed in to submit an account deletion request.

What Happens Next?

After receiving your request:

  1. Request Review: Our support team will review your account deletion request.

  2. Identity Verification: We may contact you through your registered email address to verify account ownership and protect your information from unauthorized deletion requests.

  3. Account Deletion or Data Erasure: Once your identity has been verified, we will process the applicable account deletion or personal data erasure request through Shopify.

  4. Associated Application Data: We will review and arrange the deletion of applicable account-associated information, including wishlist data and push-notification registrations.

  5. Confirmation: We will inform you once your request has been processed and explain whether any information must be retained.

Account deletion is handled through a manual, identity-verified process. Submitting a request does not immediately or automatically delete your account.

Account Deletion Processing Time

We aim to acknowledge account deletion requests within 2 business days.

Once account ownership has been successfully verified, we aim to process the deletion request within 15 calendar days.

If additional verification or processing time is required, we will inform you of the delay and provide an update on your request.

You will receive confirmation once your request has been processed.

What Information May Be Deleted?

Depending on your account and the applicable requirements, the deletion process may include:

  • Customer account information maintained through Shopify.

  • Eligible personal information associated with your customer profile.

  • Account-associated wishlist information.

  • Push-notification registration information associated with your account in our application services.

  • Other applicable account-associated information that is no longer required for legitimate business or legal purposes.

The extent of deletion may depend on your order history, applicable legal obligations, and the capabilities of the relevant service providers.

Data Retention

Certain information may need to be retained after an account deletion request has been processed.

This may include:

  • Order and transaction records.

  • Payment, refund, and accounting records.

  • Information required to meet legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.

  • Records reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, or resolving disputes.

Where complete customer profile deletion is not available or appropriate, Shopify may support personal data erasure while retaining certain transaction records.

Any retained information will be handled according to applicable requirements and our Privacy Policy.

We will explain any applicable retention limitations when processing your request.

Security and Privacy

To protect your account and personal information:

  • We may require reasonable verification of account ownership before processing a deletion request.

  • Please use the email address associated with your customer account when contacting us.

  • Never share your password, one-time verification codes (OTP), authentication tokens, or other sensitive login credentials through our contact form or email.

  • We will not process an account deletion request solely on the basis of an unverified email address or customer identifier.
